Enzo Barrenechea, called up by Argentina National Team
Valencia CF player called up to play the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru.
José Luis Gayà has become a cornerstone of the Valencia CF squad and a near-permanent fixture in the starting XI, enabling him to reach the milestone of 200 official games for the club in the match against CD Leganés.
The fullback, who came up through the ranks of the VCF Academy, is still only 24, making him one of the youngest in reaching the 200 match mark in the club's history.
It is now some seven years since his debut in October of 2012 -under Mauricio Pellegrino, the opposition coach this past weekend with Leganés- in the Copa del Rey against UE Llagostera. Originally a striker when he joined the VCF Academy, he is now a left back for both Valencia CF and Spain.
Gayà played 53 minutes of the Matchday 5 fixture at Mestalla against Leganés, before going off with a knock and being replaced by Jaume Costa.
The Spaniard has won 46% of his official games (93 in total), drawn 24% (48) and lost 29%.
